1. Independent Supplier โ Not an Authorized Distributor
Important: Stanlo Automation is an independent supplier of surplus and refurbished industrial automation equipment. We are NOT an authorized distributor, dealer, reseller, or representative of any manufacturer.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or approved by any of the manufacturers whose products appear on our Site, including but not limited to:

2. Product Condition
All products sold by Stanlo Automation are sourced independently through third-party channels and are either:
- New Surplus: Unused items from excess inventory, overstock, or discontinued lines
- Refurbished: Previously used items that have been cleaned, inspected, tested, and restored to working condition
- Used: Previously installed items sold in as-is or tested condition
Because these items are not purchased through authorized distribution channels, products may:
- Contain older date codes or be from previous series/revisions
- Have different firmware versions than currently available from the OEM
- Arrive in non-original or generic packaging
- Lack certain accessories, manuals, or OEM documentation
- Not include OEM certificates of conformity or calibration
3. Firmware & Software Notice
Some products (including PLCs, HMIs, drives, servo controllers, and other programmable devices) may include pre-installed firmware or software. Stanlo Automation:
- Makes no guarantees regarding the presence, version, or functionality of any firmware or software
- Cannot confirm firmware revision levels, license status, or compatibility with your systems
- Will not provide, install, update, or obtain firmware or licensed software on your behalf
- Is not responsible for any licensing fees, compliance issues, or EULA violations
Customer Responsibility: It is your sole responsibility to ensure proper licensing, compatibility, and legal usage of any firmware or software per the manufacturer's End User License Agreement (EULA) and applicable laws.
4. Warranty Disclaimer
All warranties and guarantees on products sold by Stanlo Automation are provided exclusively by Stanlo Automation. Please refer to our Warranty Information page for details.
Original manufacturer warranties DO NOT apply to any products sold by Stanlo Automation. Manufacturer support, technical assistance, quality certifications, and factory guarantees are not available and should not be expected.
5. Authenticity & Counterfeit Disclaimer
While we take reasonable measures to ensure product quality and authenticity through reputable sourcing practices, Stanlo Automation operates independently of all original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). As such, we cannot guarantee authenticity to the standard of an authorized distributor.
Stanlo Automation assumes no liability for any damages, losses, injuries, downtime, or malfunctions arising from the use of surplus, refurbished, gray market, or potentially counterfeit items.
Customers are strongly advised to:
- Perform appropriate due diligence and inspection before installation
- Test products in a controlled environment before deploying in production
- Consult our Return & Refund Policy for resolution options if issues arise
6. Application & Use Disclaimer
Stanlo Automation sells industrial automation components. We make no representations or warranties regarding the suitability of any product for your specific application, system, or environment.
Professional Installation Required: All products should be installed, configured, programmed, and commissioned by qualified personnel with appropriate training and expertise in industrial automation systems. Improper installation or use can result in equipment damage, personal injury, or death.
You assume all risk and liability for the selection, installation, use, and application of products purchased from Stanlo Automation. We are not responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for your intended use.
7. Critical Applications Warning
Products sold by Stanlo Automation are NOT intended or authorized for use in the following applications without appropriate risk assessment, redundancy, and fail-safe measures:
- Life support systems or medical devices
- Nuclear facilities or radiation environments
- Aircraft, aerospace, or aviation systems
- Weapons systems or military applications
- Applications where failure could result in death, serious injury, or significant property damage
If you intend to use products in safety-critical or life-safety applications, it is your responsibility to implement appropriate safeguards, redundancy, and compliance measures. Stanlo Automation disclaims all liability for use in such applications.
8. Product Listings & Information
Product descriptions, specifications, images, and technical data shown on this Site are provided for informational purposes only. Stanlo Automation makes no warrantyโexpress or impliedโas to the accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or reliability of any product information.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE SPECIFIC PRODUCT(S) GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. This limitation applies regardless of whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, strict liability, or any other legal theory.
10. Indemnification
By purchasing from Stanlo Automation, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stanlo Automation and its affiliates from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use, installation, or application of products
- Your violation of this Disclaimer or our Terms of Use
- Any third-party claims related to products you purchased from us
- Your failure to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or safety standards
11. Governing Law
This Disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from this Disclaimer shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.
