Understanding Our Product Grading System
At Stanlo Automation, we source our inventory through a variety of trusted channels, including independent suppliers and surplus networks. To help you make informed purchasing decisions, we use a standardized condition grading system for all products.
All products are backed by Stanlo Automation's warranty — not the original manufacturer's warranty. See our Warranty Information for details.

Condition Definitions
Surplus Packaged Sealed
Unused item in original factory-sealed packaging. Sourced from surplus inventory, overstock, or discontinued stock.
Surplus Packaged Opened
Unused surplus item in original packaging, but the packaging has been opened (for inspection, inventory, or verification).
Surplus No Packaging
New, unused surplus item without original manufacturer packaging. Ships in protective generic packaging.
Surplus Tested & Refurbished
Previously owned product that has been professionally cleaned, inspected, tested, and verified to function correctly.
Surplus Used As-Is
Pre-owned, previously installed product sold without functional testing. Offered at a reduced price for buyers who can test/repair.
Important Notes
Date Codes & Revisions
Because our products are sourced from surplus channels, items may have older date codes, previous hardware revisions, or different firmware versions than what is currently available from the OEM. If you require a specific date code, revision, or firmware version, please contact us before ordering.
Firmware & Software
Some products (PLCs, HMIs, drives, etc.) may include pre-installed firmware. However, Stanlo Automation:
- Makes no guarantees regarding firmware presence, version, or functionality
- Does not provide, install, or obtain firmware or licensed software
- Cannot guarantee compatibility with your existing systems
It is the customer's responsibility to ensure proper licensing and compliance with manufacturer EULAs.
Accessories & Documentation
Unless otherwise noted in the product listing, accessories (cables, connectors, mounting hardware, manuals, etc.) may not be included. If specific accessories are required, please confirm availability before ordering.
