Product description

The Allen-Bradley 1747-ASB is a SLC 500 Universal Remote I/O Adapter Module that functions as both an adapter (slave) on the RIO link and a master for the remote chassis it's installed in. It occupies the first slot (slot 0) of a 1746 remote chassis, acting as a gateway between the scanner and I/O modules. This module supports communication rates of 57.6K, 115.2K, and 230.4K baud rates.

This module enables communication over distances of up to 3040 meters and can control up to 30 chassis slots. It provides non-volatile memory and extended node capability for up to 32 adapters. The 1747-ASB requires no user programming and uses Belden 9463 or similar cable for wiring.
