It supports up to 4096 inputs, 4096 outputs, and 480 local analog I/O points. This processor features a fast program scan time of 0.9ms per keyword and an I/O scan time of 0.225ms, ensuring efficient operation.

Communication capabilities include built-in Ethernet and RS-232 ports, with the RS-232 port configurable for DH-485 networks. The 1747-L553 has standard battery-backed RAM and Flash backup memory for data retention. It can support up to 3 local I/O chassis, each with a maximum of 30 I/O module slots.
