Allen Bradley 1786-RPFM ControlNet Modular Repeater Module
The Allen-Bradley 1786-RPFM is a ControlNet modular repeater designed for medium-distance fiber optic applications. It converts ControlNet coax medium to fiber optic, extending network reach up to 3000 meters (9843 ft). This module supports direct panel or DIN rail mounting and is compatible with both horizontal and vertical orientations. It utilizes 62.5/125 Micron multimode OM-1 fiber and operates at a wavelength of 1300 nm with a maximum attenuation of 13.3 dB.
This repeater is ideal for extending ControlNet segments in point-to-point or trunk line topologies, and can also be used in star and ring configurations. It is particularly useful in industrial environments with high levels of electrical noise or hazardous areas, as the fiber link provides isolation and increased immunity to disturbances. It is used in conjunction with the 1786-RPA ControlNet Repeater Adapter module, with up to four 1786-RPFM modules supported per adapter.
