The Siemens SCALANCE W747-1RR is an Industrial Wireless LAN (IWLAN) Ethernet Client Module designed for reliable wireless communication in demanding industrial environments. It operates on the 2.4/5 GHz bands, supporting IEEE 802.11b/g/a/h standards with Industrial Wireless LAN with rapid roaming (IWLAN RR) for seamless transitions between access points. The module offers up to 54 Mbit/s data transfer rates and supports WPA2/802.11I/11E security protocols.
This client module is suitable for connecting up to 8 IP devices and includes features like NAT (Network Address Translation). It boasts an IP65 degree of protection, allowing operation in harsh conditions from -20 to +60°C, and meets EN 50155 standards for railway applications. Power is supplied via Power over Ethernet (PoE), and it comes with two ANT 795-4MR antennas and an IP67 hybrid plug-in connector.
