The Siemens FDBZ492-HR is a two-wire addressable air duct monitoring housing designed for direct mounting onto HVAC duct systems. It features a built-in programmable relay base with Form C dry contacts (rated at 125 VAC / 24 VDC, 2.5A) for direct HVAC shutdown or activation of supplementary control equipment. This housing is compatible with Siemens H-series and FD-series addressable detectors.

It is engineered to detect smoke and combustion products circulating through supply and return air ducts. The unit supports air velocities from 100 to 4,000 ft/min and features a tri-color LED for status indication (normal, trouble, alarm). Cover tamper switches provide immediate trouble signals upon removal.
