The Siemens 7ME3950-5LN00 is a high-precision, clamp-on ultrasonic transit time flow sensor. This sensor, designated Size C2H, is paired and dedicated for use with steel pipes, suitable for liquids in potentially explosive atmospheres (Ex Zone 0,1,2; Class 1, Div 1,2). It accommodates pipe wall thicknesses from 5.8 to 8.1 mm and operates effectively at temperatures below 80°C, with a maximum ambient range of -40°C to +121°C.
Its robust construction features a Polyetherimide/StSt corrosion-resistant housing. This sensor is ideal for demanding applications in the chemical, petrochemical, and oil & gas industries where safety and accuracy are paramount. It includes necessary couplant and a sanding block for proper installation with FST020, FST030 transmitters.
