The Siemens SITRANS Probe LU (7ML5221-1BA17) is a continuous, non-contact ultrasonic level transmitter designed for monitoring level and volume in liquids and slurries, particularly in hazardous areas. This model features a 6-meter (20 ft) range with a PVDF copolymer transducer. It provides 4-20mA HART communication and holds multiple hazardous area approvals including ATEX, UKEX, and IECEx.
This transmitter is suitable for demanding applications in chemical, petrochemical, and other industries where intrinsically safe (Ex) operation is required. Its non-contact measurement technology is ideal for corrosive or abrasive media. The unit is housed in a PBT plastic enclosure with 2 x M20 entries and a 2" NPT process connection.
